Anytime you get up over 100,000 miles, there is going to be significant maintenance to be done. Looking for a 1-2 owner car would be advisable and definitely get as much of the records and info about what was done as possible. If you have little mechanical experience or technical knowledge, you will need to be aware of something. No matter how clean it looks and how many records and receipts you have, there can always be underlying problems. You need to have the car looked over by a reputable mechanic or pre-purchase inspection service to truly be sure you are getting that deal of the decade.
